Posters for the GUSRC Spring Election 2013.
Full brand development project, admittedly not my finest work as it was commissioned immediately following the completion of the GUSRC Annual Report, a 12 week project which exhausted me creatively.
I think they serve their purpose, and it was exciting to work with the organisation as it promotes the new position of VP Student Activities - the replacement for the role I served in as VP Comms.
Having previously done an Annual Report for Glasgow University SRC, I knew there were things that could be improved upon, given a second chance.
This year’s report is a lot subtler in its use of colour, less bloated with single-page articles and filler and general tighter in both design and copy edit.
My role in producing this was layout and design, statistical analysis and data analysing, copy editing, proofing and preflighting.
Pretty pleased with how it turned out. Marked improvement on my previous effort, in my opinion.
Wouldn’t want to say that it was the most successful VCS awards in history because of the narwhal in a top hat, but…
Not my photo, but Glasgow University Rector, Charles Kennedy MP in a shirt of my design for Raising and Giving Week 2012.
We raised over £8,000 across the week for a range of charities including Friends of the Beatson, Glasgow Womens’ Aid and a couple more by doing challenges, bucket shaking, Zumba and other ridiculous things.

Adaptation of the GUSRC logo I was asked to make by a student, though I’ve recently been challenged to make it in true ASCII. Might be a project for before the end of my term of office.
Glasgow University Media Week 2012
Lineup of over twenty events I spent the first few weeks of January frantically organising, featuring some of Scotland’s media heavy-hitters. All design work by me, inspired and partial extension of 2011 branding by Luke Winter/Joe Crogan.
Over 700 attendees across the week, highest on record. Probably the biggest thing I’ve done/will do this year.
